After eight years of building Crossing Minds, our team is joining OpenAI.
We started this company with a simple belief: truly understanding people’s intents is the foundation of outstanding AI assistants. Not merely predicting next actions, but learning long-term preferences, and what makes each of us unique. That conviction carried us through years of exploration, growth, and creation, guiding us through challenges that at times felt insurmountable and moments that made it all worthwhile.
We set out to build infrastructure that mattered. Systems that integrate seamlessly with real-time applications and messy infrastructures. We solved problems that many organizations found daunting, and in doing so we laid foundational groundwork in personalization, retrieval-augmented generation, real-time machine learning, and most recently, we redefined what information retrieval means in the era of large language models.
But none of this would have been possible without the people.
To the Crossing Minds team: thank you. Every day, you lived our core values— Integrity in your actions, Empathy for our users and one another, a commitment to Empower Others, and a relentless drive to Over-Deliver. Your curiosity transformed questions into learnings, your courage turned obstacles into opportunities, and your dedication became the driving force behind our growth.
To our investors and advisors: thank you for taking a chance on us — sometimes before there was much to see. Your guidance and belief helped us grow, stretch, and stay focused on the long game. We know how rare that support is, and we won’t forget it.
To our customers and partners: thank you for letting us earn your trust. You pushed us to solve harder problems and helped us turn research into reality. We’re proud of what we built together.
Joining OpenAI allows us to bring our work — and our values — into a mission we deeply respect: to ensure artificial general intelligence benefits all of humanity. We’re thrilled to bring our experience and energy to a team that’s setting the direction for the future of AI. We’re excited to learn, to contribute, and to help shape what’s next.
With gratitude,
